Who says you can't be chic and stylish on a budget?
At the holidays, retail prices change, and a bunch of deals come and go every day. Elevated Image has three tips to make your holiday shopping experience easier and less costly (and, added bonus, these tips actually work year round!):
1. Use online price tracking tools – Some of the best holiday deals don’t occur on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but are actually offered closer to Christmas Day. Online price trackers are a great way to watch the price of a particular item. Two sites that I like are:
LoveSales: "Never miss a sale again with our Sale Alerts.Add products from any site to your LoveSalesWatchlist and we’ll alert you when they drop in price.Choose your favourite brands and we letyou know the instant they go on sale!"
Shoptagr: “See a product you like, but aren’t ready to buy just yet? Then simply save it to your watch / wish list! You'll then be notified when these selected favorite products go on sale! It really is that simple.”
2. Shop stores that will price match … even online prices! – Let’s say there is a TV at Target, but you can buy the exact item on Amazon for less. Target will match the price. and you can walk out with your TV.
Each store that price matches (Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Toys-R-Us to name a few) has its own rules about what a buyer needs to present as proof of price, date range, and which competitors’ prices they honor. Check the retailers’ websites for complete information, and save a money.
3. Seek a Price Adjustment Refund – Ever buy an expensive item and see it on sale at the same store a few days later? Wish you could get a refund of the difference? Well, you can! Many stores will make a price adjustment, provided that you have your receipt showing that you purchased the item at a higher price within a certain period of time (usually 7 to 14 days). Like the price match, each retailer has its own policy, so be sure to check the store policy on the retailers’ websites.
Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Macys, Sears, Belk, The Limited, and Banana Republic are just a few of the stores that have price adjustment policies.
Elevated Image hopes that these shopping tips will make your holiday shopping easier – on you and on your budget. Happy Holidays and Happy Shopping!
